Ken Place

Ken Place is a full-time consultant with the University of Illinois Business and Industry Services. Ken has over 15 years of experience working in the auto industry supplying U.S. and Japanese auto makers. His experience comes from both manufacturing and quality capacities. Ken has worked with facilities throughout the U.S. and Mexico to implement effective quality management systems compliant to QS9000, ISO 9001:2000, and TS16949.

Ken is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt with the University of Illinois BIS. He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality with certifications as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Quality Auditor. Ken is also recognized by the RAB/QSA as a Quality Management Systems Associate Auditor and by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Ken is a graduate of Blackburn College with a B.A. in Economics and has an MBA from Aurora University.
