IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)
This 4 day course is an in depth overview of the 3GPP IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), which is based on the IETF Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and IMS Architecture. This course discusses the transition of the traditional telephony provider to IMS, and how IMS will transform the telephony industry. This course breaks down each of the IMS architecture components and shows how they interconnect and interact with each of the other IMS components. After IMS Architecture, the course focuses on the technical details of the of applications (Presence, Location, Group Messaging, Push-to-Talk) , security, and registration. IMS will define the Next Generation Networking (NGN) architecture for implementing IP based telephony and multimedia services. This course provides a vision for IMS roadmap and helps telephony professionals understand the direction of IMS
