This 5 Day Security+ Certification course teaches the skills and knowledge objectives for the CompTIA Security+ certification. The student will also learn how to harden operating systems, secure remote access, and ensure physical security. In addition to teaching firewall and intrusion-detection technologies, this course teaches critical incident response and system forensics concepts. This course also addresses essential auditing and documentation practices that help measure significant gaps between security policy and actual practice. Finally, the student will learn about the essentials of a disaster recovery plan, how to ensure business continuity, and how to create and manage a security policy. Throughout this course, case studies help ensure that best practices are employed throughout the network using the latest technologies, including wireless implementations.
CompTIA Convergence+ Certification

According to a recent IDC report, “sizeable” opportunities exist for sales of converged solutions to SMBs. Nearly 90 percent of surveyed SMBs believe resellers have the capability to provide the converged solutions they need, and two-thirds already buy most of their communications systems from resellers. Currently, only 17 percent have combined voice and data onto a single network.
To realize these opportunities, businesses must invest in developing the workforce. CompTIA Convergence+ validates knowledge and skills required to combine datacomm, telephony/telecommunications, video and broadcast multimedia technologies onto a single IP-based delivery system. This certification brings together the broad knowledge base necessary to deliver the converged solutions the market demands.
