Supplier Development Certificate

The supply chain has grown to encompass the globe over the last few decades, and managing these relationships has become increasingly critical to organizational performance. Purchased materials and components can reach 60% to 70% of total cost of goods sold, or even more. The role of procurement professionals has grown now to include qualifying potential suppliers, and managing performance on an ongoing basis.

This 10-course certificate series is designed to provide you with a skill set that will assist in improving supply performance.

The Supplier Development Certificate is designed for: purchasing managers, purchasing agents, buyers, materials managers, supplier development engineers, and anyone involved in managing the supply chain, including those who are involved in “make versus buy” decisions, evaluating and selecting suppliers, establishing contracts with suppliers, negotiating and working with suppliers on a regular basis.

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Overview

This workshop will give participants a brief overview and working knowledge and understanding of GD&T. You will get a clear explanation of geometric symbols, including each symbol’s requirements, tolerance zones, and limitations and learn how to utilize and take advantage of the benefits of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Negotiating Skills

In this workshop you will learn what your negotiating strengths and weaknesses are and how best to structure a strategic “win – win” negotiating plan. Topics include: Establishing negotiation targets and objectives, building trust, knowing your suppliers and vendors, techniques for turning opponents into allies, understanding the right questions to ask, understanding bargaining tactics, and 18 rules to successful negotiation and satisfied customers.
